The garden
Getting food on our tables is the single greatest contributor of greenhouse gases; growing, transporting, storing, packing, cooking and disposing of food is responsible for 30% of CO2 emissions.
The Kerr Sustainability Centre provides a space for local community members to connect with diverse groups of people to grow and share food.
It is a very rewarding feeling to grow your own vegetables. The Kerr Sustainability Centre welcomes anyone who is interested in being involved with helping in the garden. Involvement can vary from helping maintain existing garden beds through watering, weeding and mulching. There is also the opportunity to build your own garden bed.
For more information about getting involved in with the garden at the Kerr Sustainability Centre please email Charlie Rothnie-Jones [email protected] or Administration [email protected]

Host a workshop
Knowledge and information have never been more accessible than today. Coined 'the age of the information revolution’ by social science experts, there has been a decline in the quality of debate on public policy. Debates on issues such as climate change, population, taxation, refugees, mandatory detention and offshore processing have been deformed by the media, leading to gross oversimplification and dumbing down of public debate.
As a response, the Kerr Sustainability Centre welcomes anybody who is motivated to facilitate a workshop, skill-share or discussion. For more information, please email [email protected]
